Training of 60 civil society organizations in the use of the tool

There will be 4 training workshops in Athens and 2 in Thessaloniki targeting at least 60 workers/members and/or volunteers from 30 civil society organizations in the use of the social impact assessment tool, reporting/publications on the presentation of results and their use for evidence-based advocacy activities.

Pilot implementation of the tool in 10 projects

KMOP will pilot the tool on 10 projects, implemented either by public and/or local authorities or by companies that finance corporate social responsibility actions. The aim is to evaluate the tool in order to make any necessary corrective actions. The results of the pilot implementation will also be used to create a guide to be used in the training of civil society organizations.

Deploy a training program in using the tool

KMOP will develop a training program, aimed at workers/members and/or volunteers of civil society organizations, with the aim of developing their skills in the implementation and use of the tool, reporting/publications to present the results and using them to carry out evidence-based advocacy actions. The program will use unofficial, interactive training methodologies that include team work, creative workshops, role gaming simulations, etc.

Implementation of the tool by trained civil society organizations and implementation of advocacy campaigns/actions

With the support of KMOP, at least 10 civil society organizations will implement the tool in their area of interest, with the aim to evaluate projects and actions of public or private actors and record their social impact. Organizations will use the results of the evaluation to carry out advocacy campaigns/actions aimed at changing policies, actions and practices, defending rights and strengthening the “voice” of social groups experiencing marginalization and exclusion. In addition, advisory support will be provided to the 10 organizations (and other organizations concerned) for the effective use of the evaluation tool. Moreover, at least 2 campaigns or advocacy actions will be carried out to ensure the wider dissemination of the project results.
